Uploading Pictures

What kind of file do I need to upload?
The website at present can only facilitate a jpeg file. To check the file is a jpeg right click on the actual picture file. A list of options will pop up with "Properties" at the bottom. Click on "Properties." A window will open with two tabs at the top, "General" and "Summary." The “General” tab is displayed and you can view the type of file.

What kind of resolution does the picture need to be?
To check the print resolution of the picture click on the colour resolution proof button. If you magnify this proof up to 200% you will be able to view the sharpness of the picture. If the picture is blurred then the picture resolution may not be of high enough quality to send to print. If the picture is clear at 200% then the printed quality will be fine.

I am having problems uploading my picture – what can I do?
Our system will not allow punctuation such as apostrophes, commas, spaces etc in the file name. Therefore, please ensure you have simple file name i.e. a number or name only. If your file name has punctuation please just rename the file as above and it should upload correctly. If you are still having problems please feel free to give us a call.

Verses, Prayers or Poems

Do you have any verses, prayers or poems detailed on the site?
Yes. We have a few samples of poems detailed on the site for your information. 

Online Proofs

Can I see a proof?
Your card or bookmark can be proofed free online so you can check all the details are correct before you place an order. Please note that once an order is placed it will be printed exactly how the details and picture appear on the screen.

Laminated Products

Our Bookmarks and Wallet Cards have a gloss laminated finish for durability. Please note  the bookmarks and wallet cards are laminated NOT encapsulated. Encapsulation means there is approx a 5mm edge left around the card. Lamination means the card is trimmed as normal and there is no edge left around the card.

General Enquiries

Can I post in a photo?
Unfortunately the Memorial-Card.ie website is purely an online business and all the order process has to be completed online. If you have a hard copy photo hopefully a family member or friend may be able to help you download the picture to your computer so you can create your own personalised commemorative card.

Can I get samples of the commemorative pieces?
If you wish to receive samples please email us stating the types of products you require samples of.

Can I order more cards?
Yes, simply keep a note of your order number and just contact us with the quantity you require and we can print your commemorative piece exactly the same as it was first time around.

How do I insert fadas or other Irish language letters?
Simply go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and Character Map. Here you will find all kinds of letters detailing fadas and other Irish language letters.

What if I change my mind and wish to cancel the order?
Completed orders are non-refundable and returns are not accepted. Once the order has been printed we are not able to make changes or refund your money.

Delivery

How will my order be delivered?
Your order will be delivered through our standard courier service. Please note if you are not at home when the courier calls, a calling card will be left for you to contact the courier to arrange a new delivery time. All our commemorative pieces are delivered 5 working days from receipt of order and an email will be sent to you informing you of the estimated date of delivery.
 

Memorial-cards production day ceases at 3pm. Any orders received after this time will be put into production the following day, therefore the following day will be treated as day 1 of the order process.


Delivery outside Ireland

Prices quoted on the website include free delivery nationwide.

Any orders placed for dispatch outside these areas are subject to further charges and longer delivery times. Please email info@memorial-card.ie for further information.


Billing Enquiries

Who will be billing me for my Memorial-Card order?
Realise4 Consultancy owns and operates Memorial-Card.ie.
On your credit card statement the debit name for the order will be Realise4 Consultancy.

What are your payment methods and how are they received?
Payment is done via Realex Merchant Services who offer a secure online payment system. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Laser Cards.

What is your refund policy?
Memorial Card endeavours to provide customers with a high quality print product. We have set out some guidelines below as to our refund policies:

Human Error
Our ordering system is automated which means we are unable to make any changes to the uploaded card once the order has been confirmed and processed. We ask customers throughout the ordering procedure to check all the details and images uploaded before finally confirming an order. Guidelines to check picture image quality are detailed in our FAQ section and also on our card Preview Page under the heading “Check Picture Quality”.

Since we offer a free online proofing facility it is the responsibility of the customer to check their card before ordering. If the image is of poor quality or there is a spelling mistake we regret we are unable to offer a refund.

As a goodwill gesture if you would like to place another order we can offer a 30% discount. Please give us a call and we will give you your own discount code to input.

Quality Standards
If the product you have received does not meet your expectation we will examine the reason(s) why. Please can you send us an email to info@memorial-card.ie outlining the issue(s). All emails will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Picture Quality
Our products are printed on the latest digital technology machines and the print quality is of an extremely high standard. If a quality image is supplied then a quality card will be produced. Guidelines to check picture image quality are detailed in our FAQ section and also on our card Preview Page under the heading “Check Picture Quality”.

If on examination it is concluded by both parties the delivered product does not represent the uploaded image and the confirmed image then our refund policy is as follows: A) A 30% discount will be offered on the product but no replacement cards offered.
B) If it is concluded there was a genuine printing error and the cards printed do not meet the Company’s acceptable standard we will either:
  • reprint and redeliver the cards or
  • 100% refund on receipt of returned goods


Damaged Product
If your product is damaged in transit we will offer either:
  • a replacement of order free of charge
  • 100% refund on receipt of returned sample(s).


Please note: Customers may be asked to either send one sample back or email a digital picture of the damaged product. (This is for quality control reviews and also for insurance reasons).
