The concept for the website was devised by one of our directors, who experienced a family bereavement in April 2004. His involvement in the print industry meant he was inevitably given the responsibility of organising memorial cards. This proved to be a challenging task even though he had experience in the design and print industry. Emotionally feelings were still pretty raw and there was also the added pressure of ensuring a fitting memorial card was produced and approved by other family members.

Since this task proved challenging for someone involved in the print industry we thought it must be an extremely difficult job for someone with little or no knowledge in this area. Our aim at Memorial-Card.ie therefore was to create a website where the process of ordering professionally printed commemorative pieces was made simple and easy for the customer. We wanted to make sure customers could go online and complete the ordering process in a few small steps from the comfort of their own home at a time which sutied them.
